  1. Amarok packages for Debian
  2. ==========================

  4.   A couple of notes which you may find useful:
  5.  
  6.     - starting with Amarok 1.4, lyrics downloading is implemented in a
  7.       separate Ruby script;
  8.  
  9.     - Last.fm stream support is also implemented with the help of a Ruby
  10.       script.
  11.  
  12.     - if you want amarok to be able to play CDs, you need to install the
  13.       kdemultimedia-kio-plugins package.
  14.  
  15.     - the scripts available in the 'Scripts' menu need that you install
  16.       some other packages for them to work. Those packages are listed in
  17.       the Suggests: field of the amarok package.
  18.  
  19.   Also, users not using the full KDE environment may get the following
  20.   error when executing amarok for the first time: "Socket-path is not a
  21.   link or a directory: /home/$USER/.kde/socket-$HOSTNAME". Just execute:

  23.     $ lnusertemp socket
  24.  
  25.   Note that you only need to execute it once, not each time that you
  26.   start Amarok.
